WasItToday is a school-email organiser for parents. Forward (or auto-forward) a school email to a personal WasItToday address and the app:

- Breaks long newsletters and digests into individual messages.
- Summarises each message in 1–3 plain-English sentences.
- Extracts dates, times, deadlines and required actions.
- Generates a downloadable `.ics` file per event so it can be added to Apple, Google, Outlook or any standards-compliant calendar with one tap.
- Saves everything to a private parent "hub" page keyed to that email address, accumulating across all forwarded emails.

A parent can also take a photo of a paper notice, slide, gate poster or printout and get the same structured summary back by email.

3. An LLM extracts: school name, child name, a short summary, and structured events (title, start/end date, time, location, link, required action).
4. The summary and events are saved to the parent's account and a reply email is sent with a private link to the hub.
5. The hub at `https://wasittoday.com/account/<token>` accumulates every forwarded email and surfaces all extracted events with one-click `.ics` downloads.
